How to use it
- Drop in an .svg file.
- Read the list. Red items need fixing, yellow ones are worth a look.
- Follow the link next to a problem to fix it.
- Download the report if you want to keep or share it.
What the checker looks for
Most failed cuts come from a short list of causes. Text that is still live, so the font changes or goes missing. A picture embedded in the SVG, which a cutter cannot cut. Open paths that leave a gap. Gradients and effects that cutting software ignores. A file with no real size, so it imports too big or too small.
The checker reads your file in your browser and flags each of these, with the number of times it found it.
If your file has problems
An embedded picture means the file was never really vector. Trace it into shapes with the SVG tracer. Live text needs converting to outlines in your design software. A file that is simply too heavy can be shrunk in the SVG optimizer.
Need a DXF for a laser or CNC machine instead? Use SVG to DXF.

Questions
Does it fix my file?
No. It tells you what is wrong and where to fix it. Use the SVG editor for quick changes.
Will a green result guarantee a perfect cut?
No. It catches the common problems. Always cut a small test piece first.
Does it work for Cricut, Silhouette and lasers?
Yes. The checks apply to any machine that cuts SVG paths.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Tracing and file creation happen in your browser, using code that is part of this page. Your image is not sent to a server. You can check this in your browser's network tab while you use the tool.
